Hi, I'm McKenna Moore. I'm a journalist interested in policy, news, culture and design. I am a web designer, too. I've got tons of energy and take pride in my efficiency. I'm always ready to go.
Professionally, I have worked as a campaign reporter for the 2016 presidential primaries in New Hampshire and covered the business of big law at The American Lawyer. While at The American Lawyer, I wrote or helped to write the cover story for each of the three months that I worked there. I have also built a freelance business creating personal websites and designing résumés. At Syracuse University, I have worked for several publications as an Editor-in-Chief, a front-of-book editor, a lead news producer, and a staff writer.
Outside of journalism and web design, I love to read anything from my Twitter feed to short stories and novels. I am currently hooked on "The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2015", a compilation of articles, essays, and magazine features named by a group of high school students as some of the most essential reading of the year. I'm always listening to music, particularly hip-hop and alternative. SZA's "CTRL" is my favorite album right now.
I will be receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Newspaper and Online Journalism in May 2018. I am looking forward to working in New York City after graduation.
